Institutional advancement in higher education encompasses the activities focused on building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, primarily to secure funding and support for the institution's mission.
Why It Matters
Through the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center and the College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences philanthropy efforts, the number of donors, gifts, and revenue has increased significantly. This growth has allowed for greater support of academic, research and extension programs, benefiting the local community and beyond. Additionally, alumni engagement and corporate support has expanded, providing valuable resources and partnerships to further enhance the impact of our programs and initiatives.
