SU College of Ag set to host Vet Explore 2024

Baton Rouge, La. – The Southern University College of Agricultural, Human and Environmental Sciences will host its Vet Explore 2024 event on May 4, 2024 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Maurice A. Edmond Livestock Arena.

The event is free and open to high school and college undergraduate students who are interested in becoming veterinarians.

The program will provide include:

  • Vet School 101 and Jag Stars Pre-Vet/Animal Science 101 Sessions
  • Hands-on demonstrations in suture techniques and blood collection
  • Breed Identification and Basic Animal Husbandry
  • Parasitology Lab
  • Mobile Veterinary Practice Tours
  • Engaging Career Exploration Sessions with veterinarians

The registration deadline is April 15, 2024.
